أرسلت هيئة التجارة الفيدرالية الأمريكية (FTC) طلبات تحقيق رسمية لشركتي Anthropic و OpenAI، ضمن تحقيق في مخالفات محتملة لحماية المستهلك، وأكد متحدث باسم الهيئة الخبر، حسب سي بي إس نيوز.
والطلبات أُرسلت يوم الأربعاء، وتطلب وثائق عن حوادث السلامة، وسياسات الخصوصية، والضمانات اللي تحمي المستخدمين، حسب موقع Axios اللي نشر الخبر أول.

وحسب Axios، الهيئة بترسل طلبات لجهات ثانية لها علاقة في وقت لاحق. ورفضت الهيئة تعلّق أكثر على التحقيق.
وذكر التقرير استطلاع لمركز AP-NORC يقول إن 64% من البالغين في أمريكا يشوفون إن الذكاء الاصطناعي يتطور «بسرعة زايدة».
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sent civil investigative demands to Anthropic and OpenAI as part of a probe into possible consumer protection violations, an agency spokesperson confirmed, according to CBS News.
The demands went out on Wednesday and seek documents on safety incidents, privacy policies and user safeguards, according to Axios, which first reported the story.
It comes just two weeks after the FTC said it was investigating both companies as part of a probe launched this summer. Both have faced public scrutiny in recent months after incidents in which their AI models went rogue and hacked into websites.
Axios reported that the FTC will also send subpoenas to third parties later. The agency declined further comment.
The report cites an AP-NORC poll finding that 64% of US adults think AI is developing 'too fast'.
